What to expect...

My mission is to create a safe, memorable, and fun experience for every client to step on the skiff. We have options to fish from Port Aransas to the Land Cut depending on water conditions and the goals you are wanting to achieve. By fishing from Capt. Hunter's Beavertail technical poling skiff, he specializes in shallow-water sight fishing with fly rods, though anglers who prefer conventional gear are always welcome.

Redfish will be our primary focus on sight-fishing trips, but will never pass up opportunities to throw at speckled trout, black drum, sheepshead, and flounder.

Our fishing will be 100% sight casting-- or as I like to refer to it, big game hunting on the water. The South Texas coast is an abundant, but technical fishery. I would always recommend on practicing your casting beforehand. Specifically accuracy within 40' and working on a quick, accurate backcast. If you're new or struggling in this area, don't worry! One of my passions is getting newer anglers comfortable to find success by on-water coaching-- together we will work to find success and make your goals happen on the water.

Launch locations will vary dependent on conditions and where you are located at, but typically include launching from Port Aransas municipal harbor, Billing's Bait Stand, Bird Island Basin, or Wilson's Cut. Launching from these locations help minimize run times, take advantage of the days conditions, and achieve your angling goals.
